Surendranath Law College follows a Centralized Admission Policy based on an Entrance Examination conducted by the Department of Law, University of Calcutta, which recommends candidates for admission based on the ranks secured in the merit list. After qualifying the entrance examination conducted by the University of Calcutta, the counselling process is conducted and students obtain admission based on seat allocation as per the seat reservation criteria of the government. The Committee on Admissions thoroughly scrutinizes the eligibility criteria of prospective candidates which must conform to the University of Calcutta stipulations before granting final admission.
