INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL (IQAC)

Under the UGC and NAAC guidelines, the IQAC is recognized as a vital part of the institution’s quality assurance system. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, IQAC is expected to work towards ensuring quality enhancement and its sustenance. The IQAC in Surendranath Law College performs various functions to develop a system for conscious and consistent improvement in the overall performance.

DUTIES OF THE IQAC COMMITTEE MEMBERS

  • To coordinate and disseminate information on various quality parameters of higher education under the directives of the NAAC.
  • To prepare Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) on the quality parameters of NAAC and submit it to the Vice Principal within 3 months of the completion of academic year.
  • To follow the NAAC directives on a regular basis and assist the institution in preparing for accreditation assessments by external agencies, ensuring compliance with accreditation criteria and standards.
  • To frame and coordinate the timely and efficient execution of the decisions of IQAC committee.
  • To ensure timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks earmarked in the Academic Calendar.
  • To ensure equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.
  • To optimize, integrate and implement updated & modern methods of teaching and learning.
  • Freeship of tuition fee can be terminated in case of indiscipline or misconduct of the recipient student.
  • To ensure the availability, adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services entitled to stakeholders in the college.
  • The evaluate the relevance and quality of academic and research programmes held in the college.
  • To share and disseminate research findings through academic networks with other institutions in India and abroad.
  • To keep the college website updated and ensure that all relevant information is available.
  • To build a feedback system with students, teachers, parents and stakeholders after each semester and ensure a culture of continuous improvement by analysing feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • To Organize a minimum of two FDP in a year for the faculty members and organize, seminars and training programs to enhance the professional development of faculty and staff in matters related to quality assurance.
  • To encourage and support research and innovation activities among faculty and students, and contribute to the overall improvement of the institute.
