ACADEMIC SUB-COMMITTEE

• The Academic sub-Committee is required to facilitate professional development opportunities for faculty members.
• To coordinate between faculty members and support their teaching and research efforts.
• To design and formulate long and short-term developmental plans for various academic programs and courses in the college.
• To evaluate the curriculum to ensure they meet the educational standards and needs of students.
• To closely work with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to review and revise policies related to academic matters such as grading and evaluation, academic integrity, academic standards and academic misconduct.
• To strive to review and resolve any appeals and grievances that are expressed in the college.

• To analyse students’ feedback and formulate redressal mechanisms.
• To provide guidance and support to students who are facing academic challenges, including advising on course selection, academic planning, career planning, and academic progress.
• To work with dedicated committees to design bridge courses, tutorials for competitive examinations as well as remedial classes for disadvantaged students and those who need special support for learning.
• To lend advisory support to several other committees such as Research Committee, Library Committee, Examination Committee, Admission Committee, IQAC Committee, Mentor-Mentee Committee, the Placement Cell and also work closely with the Teachers’ Council.
• To oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and perform quality checks on the designing and workings of the LMS portal to ensure that students receive the best academic support, the latest learning tools and methods and are given opportunities for continuous and comprehensive evaluation.
