A candidate who will pursue Honours in B.A.LL.B. Course, shall be required to take eight Honours Papers in addition to the Papers prescribed for the 5-year B.A.LL.B course. The eight papers shall be taught in the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth Semesters, two papers in each Semester. B.A. LL.B. (Honours) 5-Year Integrated Course is a meticulously designed programme aimed at equipping students with a comprehensive understanding of the interface between law and social sciences. This course integrates the study of law with arts subjects, offering a broad perspective that enriches the students' legal education and prepares them for a dynamic legal career. The curriculum spans over ten semesters, blending core legal subjects with complementary arts disciplines such as Political Science, Sociology and Economics. This interdisciplinary approach ensures that students gain a holistic view of the law in context. Sixth Semester onwards the honours course provides option to specialise in areas such as Offences against Child and Juvenile Offences, Gender Justice and Feminist Jurisprudence, Trade Mark and Allied Rights, Insurance Law, International Trade Economics, corporate governance, Probation and Parole and more.
