The Psychological Counselling Cell is a student support service intended to help students adapt and make the best of their learning environment. The services of the cell are however not limited to students alone. It aims to facilitate the well-being of all faculty members and all other staff & employees through guidance and support from trained mental health professionals to cater to the emotional needs of the students and staff.
The AIM of the cell is to discuss and resolve the problems of anger, depression, anxiety, fear, loneliness, social pressure, failure, relationship stress, career pressure, peer-pressure and family related stress in order to enable students and staff to celebrate life with a positive approach and create motivation for self-help.
The OBJECTIVE is to provide a nurturing environment in the college where each individual attached to the college feels secure, valued and cared for and feels empowered to live a more satisfying and resourceful life. The Psychological Counselling Cell has also been provided support and customized solutions to deal with situations of crisis and inner conflict in the personal lives of students and staff. The cell offers individual counselling, group counselling, interactive workshops and connects stakeholders with professional counsellors and medical doctors, where required.
