In accordance with the provisions of the UGC, Surendranath Law College has constituted a Grievance Redressal Cell for resolving students’ grievances related to but not limited to academic matters including scholarship, fee concession, financial aid, examination related matters, matters related to interactions with peers, teaching or nonteaching staff, other amenities like drinking water, common room facilities, basic amenities, toilet facilities etc. It also deliberates on suggestions from students and resolves complaints related to discrimination on the ground of caste (SC, ST, OBC), gender, minority or disability, harassment, victimization of any student.
Objective: The purpose of the cell is to abide by the procedures outlined by the Grievance Redressal Policy to be followed in receiving, handling and responding to any grievance against individual/institute in respect of the any matter mentioned hereinabove.
Grievance receiving mechanisms: Anyone with a genuine grievance may lodge their complaint to respective Grievance Redressal Committee/ Cell along with necessary documents, if any.
The grievance can be reported by using any of the following modes:
- Submission of complaint in person by approaching the Chairperson of the Committee
- Online at the website: separate nomenclatures of grievances like, exam related grievances, suggestion redressal, general grievances, grievance related to harassment or discrimination etc. are created in the web portal of college website. Students have to log in through their student ID and can lodge their grievances;
