As a grateful and proud alumnus of this premium institution, I would like to begin by paying my humble respect to the great founder, Sir Surendranath Banerjea.
Surendranath Law College has earned a prestigious reputation beyond academics and has groomed some of the finest minds in the country. The alumni of the College include Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India; Sri Harendra Kumar Mukherjee, the first Governor of West Bengal; Justice Bijan Kumar Mukherjee, the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India and many other luminaries and eminent personalities.
College education paves the path for the future and opens new doors to a sea of opportunities. It transforms young adults into skilled professionals who are independent, mature, intellectually, and morally developed. Surendranath Law College continues to follow a single-minded goal and mission of achieving excellence in honing the skills and talents of a diverse set of young minds. Time is a limited resource but the most valuable one. I hope every individual who has become a part of this academic family truly uses this platform to channelize their creativity and energies towards excellence and self-actualization.
The teacher-in charge and faculty have been continuously exploring and using innovating teaching methods in the study of law. The non-teaching and support staff have tirelessly provided valuable service. As a close-knit team dedicated to serve the institution, I believe that the college will march forward with the flag of their heritage held high above in the skies.
As President of Surendranath Law College, it has been my privilege and pleasure to be a part of the enriching academic journey that this institution offers to students who will be future leaders tomorrow.
